Valuing Your Partners - Business or Personal
I’m going to mainly focus on business partners because this is a business blog. But the concepts apply to social relationships as well.
I hate to say this, but In today’s business environment it’s simply too complex to be a ‘1 man army’. You can’t be stranded on your own little island because there are too many business activities needed for you to be successful.
What it boils down to is there are only 24 hours in your day same as mine.
SO you are going to need partners and others to assist you to success.
As luck would have it, I’ve had good success using a trial period or probationary period for partners. I’ll go into a community of entrepreneurs, marketers, or other professionals. You can almost take it to the bank there will be members in there who have a skill set you need but are wanting to transition to something else.
I found a kick ass, super wizard coder this way. He wants to get into the business side of things more but doesn’t know how.
So I asked him to do some coding on a site I’ve been working on social media domination community. He is doing amazing work on the back end databases.
I got to see his skills firsthand and now he’s wanting to become more involved in the project. He’s like an ace in the hole so we worked out compensation numbers and it’s moving forward to an August 1 launch date.
You can find the cream of the crop also. A little work and imagination and you can have a new business partner or team member prove their skills before you get into messy entanglements or dig yourself into a financial hole.
Happy July 4th.
